SOLSTICE HIKE!

The Winter Solstice is traditionally a time to celebrate the return of the sun and to contemplate the coming season.  It’s both the shortest day of the year and the longest night of the year which is a perfect time to gather outside to mark the shift of seasons.
What to expect:   We will hike a loop from our fire/parking spot. The hike will include uneven terrain, steep inclines/declines and rocky areas.  Dirty Girl Adventures recommends use of hiking poles for use on uneven terrain.
What to wear/bring: Headlamp/flashlight, dress in layers with a layer of synthetic fabric closest to your body to wick sweat away and dry quickly. Consider the weather and be prepared with hat, gloves, bandana, good shoes and socks.
Post Hike: We will socialize around the fire. Bring your lawn chair, dinner and beverages for post-hike fire time.
LOCATION NEAR LAKE PERRY TBD! CHECK-IN AT 4:30 P.M.

LIVE MUSIC with Jenna and Martin

Join us for a Cosmic Christmas Concert on third Friday December 17th from 6:30-9:30.  Jenna and Martin are talented singer song writers and we are excited to have them return to Compass Point for this special Cosmic Christmas Concert!

Advance tickets guarantee you a comfy spot in the Backroom Bar.  Your $8 ticket allows you to have an up-close-and-personal experience with Jenna and Martin without worrying about crowds or finding a spot to sit and enjoy your evening.

Come on out to relax with a Cosmic Western Duo.  We’ll whip up some special drinks at the bar … maybe something Christmas-y and Cosmic…

You may bring in food but no outside drinks.

JENNA Rae & MARTIN Farrell Jr.  create classic country sounding music in a new way collaborating on a genre they call “Cosmic Western”. This music incorporates bluegrass techniques, gospel harmonies, rock rhythms and experimental classic country sounds. Martin makes his telecaster guitar and pedal steel guitar speak like a dog, kitten, truck, chicken or whatever the song requires. Creating a wall of rockin’ sound they take their listeners on a Cosmic Western journey with old-timey sounding music and real-life storytelling.
