Join us for another CELEBRATION of Anna’s Birthday with KAYAKING! This year will be extra special with an OVERNIGHT CAMPOUT on a sandbar on the Kansas River! Woo, this is one of our favorite things to do and we are excited to do it with you!
Details…
WHEN: Saturday June 11th – Sunday June 12th
CHECK IN: Saturday June 11th at 1pm in Eudora at the River Access point. From here, we will ride the bus to our starting location. This is where we will END on Sunday afternoon. You will leave your vehicle here so that you can load out and head home post paddle.
WHAT: We will paddle from Lawrence at the 8th Street River Access point. We will be on river about 2pm Saturday. We’ll paddle for a few hours then choose a sandbar to make camp. We will relax, sit around the fire and enjoy time together. Sunday morning we will relax, have breakfast and paddle off when we’re ready to paddle. We will likely be off river by mid-day.
GEAR: You will need your own gear – if you have gaps in what you have, please ask us, we may be able to help you. You will need dry bags or you can use heavy duty trash bags. Don’t over stuff your bags, we will smush them into the kayaks or strap them onto the kayaks.
