From the towering Dakota sandstone bluffs to the caves and crevices of Horsethief Canyon, the park and surrounding area offer rugged beauty and stunning vistas.  The trails will take us through all of these areas with amazing views and widely varied terrain.  Good news, the ranger says that they will have completed trail maintenance on the ENTIRE trail BEFORE we hike!  Woohoo!  Sunday’s hike is primarily through prairie, this is beautiful wide sky rolling hill country.  You will need a hat, sunscreen and a good windbreaker if it’s cool and windy
