First Friday Float
September 3 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm$20 – $50
WooHoo! Help us celebrate Topeka’s First Friday Art Walk with a short and sweet First Friday Float! It’s the BEST WAY to start your FIRST FRIDAY! We will paddle from Kaw River State Park to get out at the newly improved and SAFE Topeka Weir. This short (3 miles) and sweet paddle includes time on the sandbar and TWO WHITE WATER PASSAGES prior to our get out. This paddle is best for those with at least some paddling experience. Beginners are encouraged to sign up for a LAKE event prior to a RIVER event.
If RIVER CONDITIONS don’t allow us to paddle on the KAW this event will move to Lake Shawnee – if that happens participants will receive a gift card to reimburse the price difference between a river event and a lake event.
