Dirty Girl Adventures Book Club

September 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Dirty Girl Adventures Book Club at Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures at 800 North Kansas Avenue in Topeka is open to everyone! Take a break and talk about some great books in a casual, no-pressure environment.

Meetings start at 7pm after our weekly yoga class (5:45-6:45). Karen Stockwell-Withers, a Dirty Girl member, will be leading the book club on September 10th when we discuss Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, by David Grann.

Brief Summary:In Killers of the Flower Moon, Grann offers an intimately detailed account of a little-known but devastating chapter in American history: the Osage Reign of Terror, officially recognized as a period of five years from 1921 to 1926 during which upwards of twenty Osage Indians were murdered in cold blood for access to their valuable shares of oil money.

The bar will be open for beverages, feel free to bring your dinner or a snack to share. This is a free event! We hope to see you there for a time to connect with other women by discussing a great book.
